THE ORIGIN

For the past year or so i've been making and releasing my Pop Textures packs, these packs include 60 samples with 5 samples in each major key.

Purely out of convenience for myself i decided to take all 6 volumes i've released and make them into individual Ableton racks and then i thought other people might also find them convenient, so why not put them on here!

WHATS INSIDE

Each volume comes as one .ALP file and once installed you'll have 1 Ableton rack, 10 MIDI files and 60 samples all tuned to Cmaj/Amin, the full pack option includes 6 .ALP files which each contain 1 Ableton rack, 10 MIDI files and 60 samples. (If .ALP files are an issue, reach out to me via the email address down the bottom of this page and i can send a project file version)

HOW TO INSTALL

The racks are installed by double clicking the .ALP file and then choosing where you want the rack to be installed. After that find the folder inside your Ableton browser and drag the .ADG file to an empty MIDI track.

HOW TO USE

The samples are assigned to individual keys from C1 to B5 (C1 to A1 in the demo), pressing any of these keys will start playback of a sample. The samples are set to loop so you can hold a key down for as long as you like and it will keep playing, once let go playback stops.

The presets on the left hand side of the rack will transpose all 60 samples into whichever key you pick, just double click on the preset of your choice or press the play button, alternatively you can do it manually by adjusting the pitch macro.

The other macros are self explanatory and you alter them by adjusting the knob assigned.

Pressing the "Rand" button in the very top right will randomise every macro apart from Pitch and Volume, this can yield some interesting results.

If you adjust the parameters and then change the pitch presets it will wipe any changes you have made, if this happens press cmd+z/ctrl+z and then adjust the pitch using the macro.

You can save your custom macro presets by pressing the "New" button above the pitch presets, this will create a preset underneath the last pitch preset called "Variation 1" you can press cmd+r/ctrl+r and rename it.

COMPATIBILITY

You'll need the Suite version of Ableton Live for these racks to work.

It was created on version 11.3.20, i can't guarantee it will work on older versions but i assume it will work on newer versions

USAGE TERMS

The samples are royalty free, this includes usage for your own songs or production work. You do not have permission to repackage, resell or share this product.
